fGallery WP2.5 fix

Well this was an easy one…

For some reason fGallery plugin didn’t work as it should after I upgraded to WP2.5. Admin side of things worked the way it always did but not so up front. The photos were all there on the server but nobody could see them (unless you entered the direct URL).

Untill I clicked on update Mod ReWrite button that is (see fGallery options panel). No idea how this got messed up in the upgrade process since I never went near the plugins folder. That’s it… gallery works.

jumping like fleas around here

Hanibal Springerzeller
(yeah, I know there are part of him missing, but I love the shot anyway)

Hanibal’s been catching frisbees with some consistency for a while now so I guess he was due for a quick photo shoot. He’s still a long way off from the standard Dina set but what he lacks in acceleration and accuracy he makes up by jumping real high. He’s a bouncer ;)

Dina, frisbee

Of course there’s now way we can have just one of them having fun so it was her turn catch a few. It doesn’t work with both of them at the same time though.

More shots should be in the gallery as usual (when I figure out why it doesn’t work with WP2.5 I’ll get it back online)

update – gallery works

WordPress 2.5 misbehavin’

It certainly is one big update this one… I guess the new admin interface will prove to be an improvement but it has caused me some anxious minutes. The moment I tried to log in I notice things aren’t quite how they’re supposed to be. Admin panel was totally unresponsive taking several minutes to load anything. Google search didn’t uncover any similar issues so I was on my own to figure it out. At one point I seriously considered switching back. In those frustrating minutes I even managed to delete a couple of posts. Managed to recover one from the feed that hasn’t updated yet…

Deactivating several plugins turned out to be the solution but the curious thing is that after I activated them all back it was still working just fine. I don’t know which one might have caused it by I suspect it was DoFollow. Nothing certain though.

Anyway, the site works fine now and I’m getting used to the new look. Sometime in the near future I’ll overhaul the front end as well. The new design is currently in prototype stage so there might be some weird things happening as I begin to test the new theme.
