The plugin itself called RSS Digest hasn’t been designed with that specific task in mind however by some miraculous stroke of luck I managed to crack the problem. I’m no programmer so what might seem a trivial piece of PHP code took me the better part of an evening and a lot of nerves. The base plugin just wasn’t designed to handle the feed output Google creates, which deviates slightly from the standard RSS structure (two identically named < title > nodes on different levels), thus needed to be modified appropriately to display the list items the way I wanted it.
Now if only I could solve one other (bigger) coding problem in this blog I’d be happy…
